When you visit a café in Thailand, knowing a few Thai phrases can make your experience warmer and easier.

You can say:
ขอกาแฟเย็นหนึ่งแก้วค่ะ/ครับ
Khor gaa-fae yen neung gaew ka/krub
“I would like one iced coffee, please.”

If you want it less sweet, say:
หวานน้อยค่ะ/ครับ
Waan noi ka/krub
“Less sweet, please.”

Thai people appreciate polite words. Women use ค่ะ ka, and men use ครับ krub at the end of sentences.
